Are you a “7”?

by Feb 4, 2017News

MyFAPA.org was updated today to PHP 7, a major update to the popular general-purpose scripting language that powers everything from blogs to the most popular websites in the world. This new version has some exciting capabilities and has been benchmarked as 2x faster that previous versions of PHP!

If you are using WordPress or many of the leading open source e-commerce packages, your site is powered by this fast, flexible and pragmatic technology. You should check with your hosting provider or developer about the availability of PHP 7 and process for upgrading. If you have questions or need help, you can contact FAPA sponsor and website developer, John Fleming at publisher.cloud. They provide technology consulting and development services.

The FAPA site was tested for PHP 7 compatibility and we have done a walkthrough to verify everything is functional. As always, with any major change, there are potential issues. If you have any problems using My FAPA.org, please send an email to Member Services (member-services@myfapa.org) so we can check!

Have a great Superbowl weekend everyone!
