Bob Lucas is the Principal of Robert W. Lucas Enterprises and owner of Success Skills Press. As an internationally-known award-winning author, publisher, and training professional, he has been listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in the South & Southeast. Bob is an avid writer. Since his first two books were published in 1995, he has added an additional 20 books to his credits and contributed to an additional 15 compilations. He has also written hundreds of articles, training programs, instructor manuals for video training programs, and currently writes three blogs (customer service skills, creative training skills, and nonfiction writing). His book, Customer Service Skills for Success, has been the top-selling textbook on the topic since 2002 and recently won the 2015 Textbook Excellence Award from the Textbook and Academic Authors Association (TAA).
For over four decades, Bob has shared his knowledge and expertise as a coach and consultant with thousands of workplace professionals from a variety of national and international organizations and industries. His areas of expertise, which form the basis for many of his books, include customer service, brain based/adult learning, diversity, interpersonal communication and various management and supervisory skill areas. In recent years, he has focused on training and coaching services for writers desiring to get their work into print and break into the book publishing profession. Bob regularly gives presentations to various local and national groups and was formerly a board member for the Florida Authors and Publishers Association. He will be a panel member on publishing at this years annual FAPA conference.
Bob is a life-long learning advocate and in addition to attending hundreds of professional development workshops, seminars and conferences, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement from the University of Maryland, an M.A. degree with a focus in Human Resources Development from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and a second M.A. degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University in Orlando, Florida.
