FAPA will be hosting a table at the Jax Book Fest at the downtown Jacksonville Public Library on February 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any FAPA member who lives in Northeast Florida is eligible to display and sell their books at the FAPA table.
FAPA will be partnering with the Amelia Island Book Festival for a second year to conduct the Publishing Track of their Writers’ Workshop on February 14, 2020.
FAPA is accepting applications for board membership. Applications must be submitted by July 1. The elected members will serve from August 2019 through August 2021.
Meet member and FAPA Silver medalist Scott Archer Jones. Scott is currently working on his sixth novel and first novella in northern New Mexico.
Ken Johnson was recognized for his contributions to the Florida Authors and Publishers Association at the 2018 FAPA President’s Book Awards Banquet in Orlando.
On Saturday, August 4, 2018, the membership of the Florida Authors and Publishers Association attending the FAPA Annual Conference participated in the annual election for the FAPA Board of Directors. Six current board members and four new members were elected to new two-year terms. They join five existing board members who just finished the first year of their two-year terms. The board members volunteer their time to serve the FAPA membership.
The FAPA Board of Directors is pleased to announce new benefits for Vendor Members. This membership is for vendors, consultants and other service providers involved in the publishing industry.
FAPA will be accepting applications for board nominations starting on May 11 and closing June 22, 2018. The elected members will serve from 2018-2020.
